Sand scoops for metal detecting and beach treasure hunting, built and stocked by RTG. Every scoop on this page falls into one of three material lines: galvanized steel for everyday durability at the lowest price, aluminum for detectorists who want less weight over a long beach walk, and 304 stainless steel for serious water and surf-zone recovery, where salt corrodes lesser metals fast. Basket sizes run roughly 4" to 8" in diameter, in fixed-handle, folding, travel, and 2-in-1 hand/long-handle styles.

New to sand scooping: a 4–5" basket sifts dry sand quickest for coin and jewelry hunting, while a wider stainless bucket with reinforced mesh holds up to repeated digging in wet sand and shallow surf. RTG also builds the RiverBlade, a stainless fossil-recovery scoop for river and creek hunting rather than the beach. Most RTG scoops are made in the USA and carry a 90-day warranty.
